Fine Arts Center Construction:
Thanks to the dedication and generosity of our parents, and especially
to the leadership gift from Michael and Laura Brader-Araje last
year, MCS is proud to be able to build the final building in the
Campaign to Complete the Community. This is the 4,000
square foot Fine Arts Center, that will provide a faculty work
room and dedicated prepared environments for Art and Music.
Below we will put pictures of the actual construction as it takes
place.

(Above) The Construction site in February. Red dirt is good soil.
White dirt is processed fill on which the pad will be poured. The
pad is half done and rolled. They are working on connecting sewer
lines and other underground conduits. |

Machines are such fun to watch! Note tires off
the ground.
(Below): the pad is poured. |
What are all the white pipes sticking
up (below)?

The area where the Fine Arts Center will be now has white pvc pipes
for conduits for electricity, phone, and data, and other pipes for
water coming in and waste water (from sinks, for example) going
out and connected to the sewer lines. When the pad is poured, it
will no longer be possible to get to the area under the building,
so all that work needs to be done before the pad is poured. |

THE WALLS ARE GOING UP!!

The roof is on! (below)

|
And the plumbing is almost done. Copper are water.
White pvc are drain lines.
