Employment Opportunities

MCS seeks skilled Montessorians devoted to children and eager to be an active member in a supportive community. We are dedicated to providing a top quality authentic Montessori experience for children, and have very strong parent support from a parent body that believes in the Montessori philosophy. Our parents and Board support the teachers and administration. We have a positive active parent organization, the MCA. Each of these attributes was noted in our most recent re-accreditation by the American Montessori Society.

MCS offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. Our salaries are in the top 20% of all Montessori schools reporting in the NAMTA survey. The benefits package includes health, dental, and a generous tuition remission for faculty children. The Chapel Hill/Durham area, only a short drive from Raleigh, the state capital, is a wonderful place to live. Many of our faculty live in genuinely rural settings within easy commuting distance. Others live within walking distance of the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. This university town has an immense variety of activities, movie theaters, dramatic and musical productions, and restaurants with every kind of menu. It is a great place to live and work.
