We will offer a Half (8:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.) or Full Day (8:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.) camp option as well as extended care (3:15 - 5:45 p.m.) for our youngest campers. Each week is slightly different, but all will be filled with fun, adventure, and learning in a familiar location for your child.
This camp is open to current and incoming MCS students only.
This year’s camp will be led by current and former enthusiastic and energetic MCS staff members. The two most important qualities these staff members share are (1) their attention to the safety and well-being of your child(ren) and (2) the enthusiasm and knowledge they bring to camp, making every day fun and enriching for our campers. This camp runs 8:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. with extended care available from 3:15 - 5:45 p.m.
This camp is open to current and incoming MCS students as well as non-MCS students.
Your child will learn the art of theater: improvisation, monologues, dialogues, memorizing, working as a company, acting, ad libbing, dancing, singing, costume design, and scenery creation. There will also be plenty of thematic and fun projects during this camp.
Camp will meet each day from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Each day campers will go outside early in the morning and as it gets hotter midday, will have recess in the air conditioned gym or play games inside the classroom.
The Upper Elementary Drama Camp will be co-directed by Don Henchel, MCS Upper Elementary Teacher, and his wife, Susan Johnstone, also a Montessori teacher. It is essential that the campers participate for the full week. Register as soon as possible as this camp does tend to fill up fast.
This camp is for current MCS upper elementary students only (rising 4th - 7th grades).
