Future Fund
There have been some amazing changes at MCS over the past few years. Some have been huge, like the building of the Spark Center, the renovation of playgrounds, and the transformation of the landscaping. Others have been smaller in scope—an added door, a beautified children’s cottage, a new coat of paint here and there—but no less important to our children’s daily experience. And every single one of these campus enhancements can be traced back to the incredible generosity of donors in the MCS community. But, of course, there’s more to do. There always is!
Our campus is still growing and maturing. There are still so many opportunities to make our campus and children shine. Our Campus Master Plan lays out many tantalizing possibilities for our children’s future. What will we choose to finance? Observation decks on our wetlands? Improved parking space? Improved space for our students? A more inviting and efficient administration space? Or, perhaps a tree fort in the woods?
Of course, tuition alone is not enough to pay for all the wonderful wishes our community has for the future of our children’s learning environment. Every year the MCS community is asked to participate in an annual fund drive to help supplement the expense of running the school. This year, the MCS Board has decided to use the annual fund drive — newly named the MCS Future Fund — to finance campus enhancements needed to better serve our students. This fund drive will herald the next phase of MCS growth and development, benefitting all our children in both the near and long term. The generosity of our current and past families reinforces our sense of community, enables a stronger commitment to economic diversity, and sends a message of appreciation to the faculty, who are the core of our school.
