The tradition of strong community support and generous giving at MCS is the secret behind our school’s success and reputation for excellence. The extraordinary gem that is MCS today is, in fact, the result of the generous giving of time and money by those who came before us.
As we launch this year’s Annual Fund, we invite you to make a difference in the lives of our students by collaborating with your fellow MCS families to continue our stalwart tradition as a community that works with and for each other.
We appeal to all members of our community — currently enrolled families, faculty, staff, board members, grandparents, alumni and their families, and all our special friends — to participate at whatever level they are able.
As with all private schools, fundraising is a financially necessary part of running MCS. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of providing all the truly outstanding educational opportunities we wish for our children. Our budget covers the basic needs of our school. Fundraising allows MCS to consider projects that go “above and beyond” the operating baseline.
Annual Fund proceeds are for the discretionary use of the school and give us options that tuition and fees alone do not cover. In previous years, funds have paid for a wide variety of things including outdoor learning spaces, additional classroom supplies, faculty professional development, fine arts and music materials, supplemental academic programming, and extracurricular enrichment programs.
Every single gift, regardless of the size, makes a difference in the lives of our students. The collective power of giving has the potential for positive transformative change for MCS and our community. In the past, individual gifts have ranged from $5 to $15,000.
Contributions can be made through May 30th. Payment schedule options include: immediate full payment of your pledge; arrangement to pay the pledge in increments; or electing a future date in this school year.
Cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa or Mastercard) are accepted. To double the impact of your contribution, check with your human resources office to see if your employer offers a corporate matching gift program whereby an employee’s charitable donations are matched by the company. If so, they can provide the form(s) you need to fill out.
All gifts are 100% tax deductible as contributions to a to nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity.
