FSO
Family School Organization (FSO)
The Family School Organization (FSO) helps build a welcoming, engaged, and connected MCS community by bringing families and MCS employees together. Through community events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising, service projects, and other activities, the FSO offers many ways for families to connect and support our school.
The FSO is led by an Executive Committee (ExCom) that works in partnership with MCS and our Room Liaisons to help strengthen connections across classroom communities.
This year’s ExCom members are:
Reshma Borkar
Myra Blake
Bethany Cashman
Rachael Paskiewicz
Rebecca DiMaria
Who is the FSO?
We are ALL the FSO! We’re a strong and active group of parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, family friends, administration, and staff who strive to provide a wide variety of community-building and service activities to improve the overall experience at MCS.
What does the FSO do?
The FSO plays a key role in nurturing a strong and connected MCS community. We coordinate community-building events, collect funds for teacher thank-you gifts, and serve as ambassadors for MCS’s mission, values, and brand. We also help support and promote the school’s larger fundraising efforts. Through these efforts, we help create a warm, inclusive environment where families feel engaged and connected to the life of the school.
How can you be involved?
1) Come to one of our meetings, listed in the MCS Weekly newsletters.
2) Volunteer to help at events like the spring fundraising event, bake sales, the book sale, service projects, etc.
3) Bring us an idea for an event, project, etc.
